The project “House Women” occupies a special place in Maja Smoltczyk’s work because it brings together the areas of figurative representation and abstraction. The starting point is the embodiment of a corpulent, seated young woman. Spread over three sculptures, the body shapes of the female figure are combined with architectural forms: “The Archaic”, “The Gothic” and “The Futuristic”.
